Cheesy chicken potato casserole

Totally been on a mission to just use stuff I have around the house up before I go "grocery" shopping (produce, etc doesn't count!)

SOOO, this is a crazy good keeper!

5 red potatoes, chopped
left over shredded chicken (I had a bunch of rotisserie chicken shredded that I didn't want to make sandwiches out of)
chopped shallot
minced garlic
about 1/6 cup cream (had that left in my fridge, through it in there)
1-2tbsp olive oil
salt, pepper

mix all that up
2tbsp butter greased the glass dish

Green onions, cheese, and paprika on top.
375 degrees for 35 minutes

Soooo good.

fitted

Cut the sides like this

Fold the sides in to make a casing

 Sew down the casing

This part is so stupid to explain but it's really easy. Sew the short edges (Kinda like surging) so they don't fray. Then flip it over and sew the long middle pieces together, wrong sides out.

Pull the diaper back through so it looks like this. The side flaps add absorbancy.

Then you're gonna want to sew the edges around the diaper so they don't fray.
They're gonna fray every time you wash them for a little while, but just cut those pieces off and eventually once it gets to your stitches it will stop fraying.

Design Star

I finished my room!!!! We went from THIS:

To THIS:

I LOVE IT!

I want to put two small Dark gray shelves under the canvases above the bed and get some more pillows, and bigger lamps, but besides that it's done!

Gettin my craft on

Since Jason's been gone I've pretty much spent all my free time crafting or at the pool/gym.
I came up with the idea to make these little Bears out of Tristen's baby blanket!
I didn't want to keep the blanket forever, but I could part with it...
so I improvised! Now he has a baby bear, and I'll always have the mommy.

Made him a taggie with the scraps and some crinkly stuff!
He LOVES the taggie, Noah loves the bears : P

I am making a pair out of one of Noah's blankets too,
but his blanket it furry so it's a bit more time consuming.

I have been told I should "sell" them
Have people send me a baby blanket they love but don't want to have sitting up in their closet for 40 years,
but I dunno.

I made a tutorial for them but I don't know if I'm gonna post that either >_<

Dinner: INCREDIBLE.

Easily the most amazing thing I've ever made in my short 22 years of life.
 http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/cooking-live/pork-chops-with-mustard-and-cream-recipe/index.html

differences I did...

I had no brandy so I subsituted white cooking whine.
No dijon, substituted Trader Joes Aioli Garlic mustar...
d sauce
Only used a spoon full of the minced garlic clove because mine was super ripe.
Threw in some green onions because I love green onions.

Had no fresh herbs. Had no lemon.

Still fuggin amazing.

Potatoes I totally winged, drizzled olive oil, sprinkled some of the garlic and shallots in, some green onions, salt, garlic salt, and paprika for some weird reason, 375 for 30 mins.

The friend who showed me this recipe followed it word for word and also said it was INCREDIBLE. And she's a total foodie who doesn't even like porkchops. O_O

I poured the sauce on my potatoes and greenbeans. YUM!!!!!!!!

Daddy's Quilt

I made this out of Tristen and Noah's outgrown baby clothes
for Jason to take to Qatar.
I love looking at it so it is blog worthy :)

Never will I make a quilt this huge again.
If only my husband were the size of a gnome.

Three-Horns NEVER play with Long-Necks.

So as I sat at the table, feeding Tristen his breakfast, listening to The Land Before Time in the background, Tristen sneezed baby food all over my face.

And I found myself, sitting there with pear and cereal on my face, licking it off in the places my tongue would reach, and wondering: "Why the F*** are three-horns such a**holes!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

I love being a mom.
